What You Will Do:

As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be a key member of our Supplier Quality organization, ensuring that all suppliers meet our stringent quality, compliance, and performance standards. You will manage and improve supplier quality for CCA/PCB, components, materials, and systems critical to aerospace, space, and defense programs. This role supports our AS9100-certified quality management system and is essential for sustaining compliance with industry regulations and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality strategies aligned with AS9100, AS9102, ITAR, and Korry Electronics requirements.
  • Conduct supplier audits, evaluations, and capability assessments to ensure adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for supplier quality issues using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, SPC).
  • Review and approve supplier documentation, including first articles, inspection plans, and test reports.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, trends, and nonconformances, driving continuous improvement programs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to resolve supplier-related quality challenges.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and design changes through supplier readiness assessments and material verification.
  • Mentor junior SQE staff and provide technical guidance for cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in critical program reviews and customer audits as a subject matter expert in supplier quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Engineering, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of supplier quality engineering experience in the aerospace, defense, or space industry.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Comprehensive understanding of AS9100 family standards and aerospace quality processes.
    • Proven competence in supplier auditing, quality system assessments, and process improvement
    • Strong Analytical, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of interfacing with suppliers, engineering teams, and customers  

Certifications: ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Engineer (CSQE) or equivalent strongly preferred

Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is $136,000 - $184,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
