Career Path & Growth Opportunity

Are you a financial leader ready to step into an executive role? We're looking for a Controller at Korry Electronics who is ready to do more than manage the books. This is a high-impact, developmental role designed for a future executive leader. We view this position as a critical succession-planning step; the successful candidate will be expected to transition into a Vice President of Finance role—either at Korry Electronics or another facility within our parent company—within a 2-3 year timeframe. You will be groomed to master our financial architecture and leadership standards, preparing you for the broader strategic responsibilities of the VP office.

What You Will Do:

As the Controller, you will serve as a strategic financial leader responsible for maintaining the highest standards of financial compliance, reporting integrity, and internal control. You will act as a change agent, driving process improvements and leveraging modern technologies to optimize financial operations. Beyond core accounting functions, you will provide expert guidance to leadership, supporting strategic planning, government contracting compliance, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership & Oversight:
    • Direct the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting.
    • Design, implement, and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard assets.
    • Manage the preparation of forecasts, the annual operating plan, and strategic financial models.
  • Strategic Business Partnership:
    • Serve as the primary financial subject matter expert, supporting the Business Unit Managers with high-level presentations and performance analytics.
    • Provide expert guidance on pricing and proposal initiatives, ensuring strict adherence to government contracting requirements (FAR, DFAR, TINA, and CAS).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Excellence & Transformation:
    • Champion continuous improvement by leading value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives.
    • Partner with IT to automate workflows and adopt new technologies, specifically focusing on data warehousing and business intelligence tools to enhance financial visibility.
  • Team Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of professional growth and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required. An MBA or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is highly desired.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, with significant exposure to the manufacturing or aerospace sectors.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Expertise in GAAP and technical accounting.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed variance analysis (budget-to-actual, year-over-year).
    • Proven experience in government contract accounting (FAR/DFAR/TINA/CAS).
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with data warehousing or Power BI.
  • Leadership: A track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams, complex projects, and large-scale operational change.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of office productivity machinery, including computers, printers, and document scanners.
  • Ability to move throughout the office environment to coordinate with various departments.
  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus for detailed analytical work.

Salary Range:
Please note the typical hiring range is $147,900 - $200,100 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
