In this role, you'll play a vital part in managing our accounts receivable, ensuring accurate financial records, and contributing to the overall financial health of our company. While this position is the focal for accounts receivable, it also offers significant exposure to diverse accounting functions, providing a solid foundation for career growth within our organization.

What You Will Do: 

As a Senior Accountant, you are a key driver of our financial operations. You will manage full-cycle accounting activities, execute cross-functional process flows, and provide critical data analysis that impacts cash flow, financial reporting, and organizational strategy. This role offers deep exposure to manufacturing finance within a high-standard, demanding industry environment.  This is a high-visibility growth role designed for a candidate with the ambition to advance into a leadership position within the Finance organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations. Investigate variances and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Operational Cash Management: Direct primary banking activities, including daily cash positioning, intercompany payments, and monthly bank statement reconciliations.
  • Project & Cost Accounting: Maintain detailed project records within the Syteline ERP. Track costs, recognize revenue, and provide accurate Data on Estimates at Completion (EAC) for monthly program reviews.
  • Capital Expenditure (CapEx) Management: Drive the end-to-end CapEx process, from initial request review and budget building to tracking spend and verifying asset life-cycle status in compliance with Transdigm requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Compliance: Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, and Operations to ensure internal control procedures (SOX/CMMC) are maintained. Oversee vendor management verifications and statutory filings (B&O tax, unclaimed property).
  • Systems Evolution: Support the transition from Syteline to a new ERP system by documenting legacy processes and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and resolve data discrepancies, support internal/external audits, and execute special projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Development Plan: As the Senior Accountant masters the foundational complexities of our manufacturing environment, they will be given increasing responsibility to prepare them for the company’s Assistant Controller role.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Industry: Prior experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing is highly preferred.

Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of ERP systems (Syteline/IFS preferred) and advanced Excel skills (data modeling, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
  • Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP, including revenue recognition, cost accounting, and fixed asset management.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to retrieve and analyze complex datasets to present clear results to stakeholders.
  • Execution & Prioritization: Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Communication: Ability to articulate financial impacts to non-finance leaders and collaborate effectively across all departments.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers. 
  • Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer. 
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office 
  • Frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Occasionally use of steps, or ladder. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Salary Range:
Please note the typical hiring range is $ annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
