What You Will Do:
Under general supervision, the Test Engineer plans and conducts the activities of required to support engineering and production test equipment performing a variety of complex technical tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops test equipment from schematics, rough sketches, and/or verbal instructions
  • Troubleshoots test equipment to determine root cause and implement corrective action as required
  • Performs complex Design, Validation, and Test (DVT) plans: accelerated life testing (H/ALT), accelerated stress testing (HASS), environmental stress (ESS) testing.
  • Maintains test equipment through preventative maintenance and capital planning.
  • Suggests improvements for test equipment coverage and capabilities.
  • Determines time standards for tests and the most cost-effective methods of performing tests
  • Authors technical writing in the form of work instructions, test plans, root cause investigations, and others.

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Engineering, or similar
  • Minimum of three years of experience writing, debugging, and maintaining LabVIEW and LabVIEW executables.
  • Demonstrated capability in commissioning data acquisition and control systems in a production environment.
  • Familiarity NI PXI/PXIe modules
  • Familiarity with basic electronics tools: multimeters, oscilloscopes, HyperTerminal (or similar).
  • Programming experience in one of the following: Python, C/++/#, Rust
  • Highly motivated and possess effective oral/written communication and interpersonal/team skills
  • Environmental/EMI testing with thermal chambers, hot/cold testing, vibration testing, humidity testing and troubleshooting test boxes and fixing cables
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must possess excellent time management skills (ability to multitask and delegate work to support customers and peers)

Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is $83,000 - $110,000 yearly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
