What You Will Do: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our IT team at Korry Electronics, an industry leader in aerospace parts manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex IT infrastructures, ensuring the reliability and security of critical systems, and supporting the manufacturing operations through seamless integration of technology.

As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our servers, storage, and various enterprise applications, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain technology solutions tailored to our manufacturing and engineering needs, all while maintaining strict adherence to industry standards, compliance, and best practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, and support Active Directory (AD) environments, including user account management, group policies, domain controllers, and organization units (OUs)
  • Administer Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) systems, ensuring secure and efficient user access
  • Maintain, configure, and support internal systems including servers (physical and virtual), network devices, storage solutions, and databases
  • Oversee operating systems including Windows Server, Linux, and VMware environments to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Perform and/or coordinate regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to keep systems up-to-date and secure
  • Administer and optimize cloud-based solutions to ensure reliable performance across the organization
  • Design and implement system monitoring and performance optimization solutions
  • Collaborate with security teams to monitor and resolve system vulnerabilities
  • Implement and enforce system security policies, user access controls, and data protection mechanisms
  • Assist with managing firewall configurations, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations (such as CMMC, ITAR, NIST, and other security standards) and assist with and/or oversee audits
  • Design, implement, and maintain backup strategies, ensuring data integrity and availability
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans, ensuring minimal downtime in the event of system failure or security breaches
  • Provide tier 3/4 technical support to internal users, helping to resolve complex system issues and identifying root causes
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical systems and network issues
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior system administrators and IT support staff
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering, manufacturing, and operations) to implement new systems and technology solutions
  • Actively participate in the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring they align with business goals and timelines
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for system configurations, system architecture, disaster recovery plans, and standard operating procedures
  • Generate and present reports on system performance, security status, and IT project progress to senior leadership
  • Must be willing to be scheduled at times “on-call”, after core business hours, or on a weekend periodically to provide support for projects or issues

Preferred Education & Experience 
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems administration, with a preferred strong focus on manufacturing or aerospace-related environments
  • Advanced knowledge of operating systems, server hardware, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud services (Azure, GCC High etc.)
  • Solid understanding of IT security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance regulations (ITAR, CMMC, NIST, etc.)
  • Expertise in backup and disaster recovery technologies and methodologies
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for system automation
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, MRP, or PLM systems commonly used in aerospace manufacturing

Specialized Skills and Abilities

  • Certifications such as MCSE, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security
  • Experience working in an aerospace or defense industry environment
  • Knowledge of database administration (SQL, Oracle, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English

Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is $125,000 - $175,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
