What You Will Do:

We are seeking motivated and detail‑oriented Continuous Improvement Interns to join our operations team within an electronics aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for students who are passionate about process optimization, data analysis, lean manufacturing methodologies, and real‑world problem‑solving. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals to identify inefficiencies, analyze root causes, and help implement solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support continuous improvement (CI) projects focused on production processes, workflow optimization, and waste reduction.
• Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in improvement events, process mapping exercises, and Production walks with cross‑functional teams.
• Assist in developing standard work, visual management tools, and documentation updates.
• Use CI methodologies to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Help evaluate production line performance, throughput, and defect rates using basic data analytics.
• Work with engineering, operations, and quality teams to support pilots of new processes or tools.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and project outcomes.

Preferred Education

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Aerospace Engineering, Business, or related field.

Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities

• Availability to work onsite in Everett, 5 days per week for a 10-14 week period 
• Excellent communication and organization skills 
• Basic data analysis skills; comfortable working with Excel or similar tools

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers.
• Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer.
• The person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office.
• Frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Occasional use of steps, or ladder.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Seldom to occasionally position self to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is Freshman/Sophomore $28.00 Junior/Senior $31.00 hourly.
