What You Will Do: 

The Logistics Manager leads the Shipping and Logistics function, ensuring compliant, accurate, and on‑time movement of product to customers worldwide. This role oversees daily shipping operations, export compliance activities, logistics planning, and team development. The Logistics Manager partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Customer Service to meet customer commitments, support production flow, and uphold regulatory requirements within a fast‑paced aerospace environment. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and develop the Shipping & Logistics team, including daily direction, workload planning, coaching, and annual performance reviews. 
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and labor plans to optimize throughput, balance workload, and support production schedules. 
  • Identify and resolve issues impacting shipping performance, including documentation gaps, carrier delays, material availability, and customer portal discrepancies. 
  • Own the streamlining of logistics processes and cost‑reduction initiatives. 
  • Maintain and enforce procedures for export compliance, including ITAR, EAR, licensing, AES filings, and customer‑specific requirements. 
  • Develop and maintain training materials, onboarding plans, and succession plans for all roles within the department. 
  • Collaborate with Operations, Planning, and Customer Service to support production priorities, expedite critical shipments, and resolve escalations. 
  • Lead or support special projects related to logistics strategy, facility layout, ERP enhancements, and continuous improvement. 
  • Foster a positive, accountable, “hands‑on” team culture that supports safety, quality, and operational excellence. 

Preferred Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field 
  • Or, equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 

Preferred Experience 

  • 5 or more years of experience in logistics, shipping, warehousing, materials management, operations management, or broader supply chain roles within aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments. 
  • Experience with export compliance activities (e.g., ITAR/EAR, licensing, international documentation) preferred, with no minimum years required. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a fast‑paced operational environment. 
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and transactional accuracy requirements. 
  • Proven ability to drive issue resolution under tight deadlines with a strong bias for action. 

Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities 

  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, documentation, and compliance requirements. 
  • Experience with ITAR, EAR, AES filings, free trade agreements, and country‑of‑origin requirements. 
  • Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word). 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple competing demands. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy. 
  • Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence without authority. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers. 
  • Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer. 
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office 
  • Frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Occasionally use of steps, or ladder. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Seldom to occasionally position self to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 

Salary Range:
Please note the typical hiring range is $108,200 - $147,200 yearly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
