What You Will Do:

The Senior Network Engineer is a key technical professional responsible for the design, implementation, security, and optimization of the network infrastructure supporting Korry Electronics’ manufacturing and corporate environments. This role balances strategic network architecture with hands-on technical execution to ensure enterprise-wide network standards compliance, robust cybersecurity, and high operational reliability.

The ideal candidate will apply advanced technical expertise to solve complex connectivity and performance challenges, ensuring that business operations from front office systems to manufacturing production networks remain secure, resilient, and highly available.

This position also supports cybersecurity initiatives and regulatory compliance requirements for defense-related programs and sensitive data environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Design & Implementation: Analyze evolving business needs to design, install, and support network infrastructure services. Coordinate complex hardware and software installations across LAN/WAN environments and ensure scalable, high-performance architecture.
  • Process & Standards Management: Establish and maintain configuration management processes and enterprise standards for network infrastructure. Ensure all network components adhere to enterprise architecture, cybersecurity policies, and performance benchmarks.
  • Systems Maintenance: Ensure network equipment and software configurations remain current, secure, and operational. Support infrastructure upgrades and changes required for business systems and manufacturing automation.
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Maintain awareness of applicable cybersecurity and regulatory compliance requirements. Provide technical support during internal and external audits related to network design, security components, and data integrity.
  • Strategic Optimization: Continuously evaluate network architecture capabilities and proactively recommend improvements, upgrades, and modernization initiatives to improve reliability, scalability, and operational performance.
  • Security & Troubleshooting: Oversee firewall administration, intrusion detection systems, and VPN management. Serve as the final escalation point for complex troubleshooting involving TCP/IP, DNS, routing protocols, and enterprise network services.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

  • Core Networking: Expert-level network design and analysis including LAN/WAN troubleshooting, network architecture design, and performance tuning.
  • Security: Advanced firewall administration, intrusion detection systems, network security principles, and secure VPN connectivity.
  • Protocols & Services: Mastery of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking protocols.
  • Infrastructure: Proficiency in server management, Linux operating systems, and virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Cloud Integration: Hands-on experience integrating enterprise networks with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure environments.

Defense Compliance & Secure Network Architecture:

  • CMMC Compliance: Support and maintain network architecture aligned with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 requirements to protect sensitive defense information.
  • NIST 800-171 Controls: Implement and maintain network security controls supporting compliance with NIST SP 800-171 requirements for safeguarding controlled information within defense contractor environments.
  • Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI): Ensure secure handling, transmission, and protection of Controlled Unclassified Information across network infrastructure through segmentation, monitoring, and access controls.
  • Network Segmentation: Design and maintain secure segmentation between corporate IT networks, manufacturing environments, and restricted data environments to reduce cybersecurity risk.
  • Secure Architecture Practices: Implement defense-in-depth networking strategies including firewall policy management, secure VPN architecture, and least-privilege network access principles. 

Education & Experience:

  • Degree: Undergraduate university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience: Typically 5–8+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Palo Alto:PCNSA (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator) or PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) highly preferred.
  • Cisco: CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional).
  • Specialized: Wireshark Certified Network Analyst (WCNA) or AWS/Azure Solutions Architect.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where uptime is critical.
  •  Communication: Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable business recommendations for stakeholders.

Salary Range:
Please note the typical hiring range is $127,500 - $172,500 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
