Want to manage the lifecycle of mission-critical aerospace components? We’re seeking a strategic procurement professional to lead supplier relationships and drive inventory excellence.

What You Will Do: 

As a Senior Buyer, you will manage the full procurement lifecycle for critical aerospace commodities. You will execute strategic acquisition strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive inventory optimization to ensure seamless production. You will act as a technical leader, mentoring junior buyers and ensuring strict compliance with aerospace industry regulations. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Strategy & MRP: Align procurement with commodity strategies; manage MRP parameters to optimize material flow and inventory targets. 
  • Supplier Relations: Serve as the primary contact for key suppliers, leading business reviews and resolving complex escalation issues. 
  • Demand Alignment: Partner with Demand Analysts and S&OP to translate long-term forecasts into proactive procurement plans. 
  • Shortage & Risk Management: Proactively identify potential shortages and implement mitigation or alternative sourcing strategies. 
  • Quality & Root Cause: Lead cross-functional teams in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and manage MRB/RTV processes to drive supplier accountability. 
  • Engineering Change: Manage technical transitions and negotiate cost/lead-time impacts of engineering changes to minimize obsolescence. 
  • Data & Compliance: Maintain ERP integrity and ensure 100% adherence to AS9100, ITAR, and FAA regulations.  

Preferred Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Industry Background: 5+ years in purchasing or supply chain within a regulated manufacturing environment (Aerospace, Medical, or Automotive). 
  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and experience sourcing Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) and electronic components. 
  • Compliance & Standards: Working knowledge of AS9100, FAA, and ITAR regulations. 
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and a solid grasp of cost drivers and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Strategic Procurement: Proven track record in complex negotiations, strategic supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation. 
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Experience leading cross-functional projects, interfacing with customers, and mentoring junior team members. 
  • Certifications: APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or ISM (CPSM) preferred. 

Salary Range:
Please note the typical hiring range is $91,800 - $124,200 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
