What You Will Do: 

The Stockroom Team Lead supports the Materials Manager by overseeing daily operations within the Stockroom. This role leads a team of five Material Handlers to ensure accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, and timely support of production requirements. The Team Lead is responsible for coordinating tasks, enforcing procedures, and driving continuous improvement in stockroom operations while maintaining compliance with company standards. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of five Material Handlers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. 
  • Inventory Control: Ensure accurate data entry, cycle counts, reconciliation, and resolution of discrepancies to maintain inventory integrity. 
  • Material Flow: Oversee kitting, replenishment, Kanban processing, and timely delivery of materials to production lines. 
  • Process Compliance: Enforce established stockroom procedures for storage, movement, and handling of materials, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. 
  • Resource Management: Assign daily tasks, balance workloads, and manage overtime as needed to meet operational demands. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency within the Stockroom. 
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Receiving, Shipping, RMA, and Operations to ensure seamless material handling across departments. 
  • Safety & Audits: Lead safety initiatives, conduct audits (Kanban boards, shelf life, fixed-time Kanban), and ensure compliance with company policies. 
  • Reporting: Provide updates to the Materials Manager on stockroom performance, inventory accuracy, and team development. 
  • Special Projects: Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Materials Manager. 

Preferred Education 

  • High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent. 

Preferred Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in stockroom, warehousing, or material handling roles. 
  • Prior leadership or team coordination experience strongly preferred. 
  • ERP/MRP system experience. 
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve inventory issues under tight deadlines. 

Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities 

  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and material handling processes. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP systems. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while working independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Forklift and pallet jack operation experience preferred. 
  • Willingness to work extra hours or weekends as required. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as computer printers and label makers. 
  • Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer. 
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move inside the stockroom. 
  • Occasionally use of steps, or ladder. 
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Seldom to occasionally position self to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is $31.26 - $42.30 hourly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
