What You Will Do:

Conduct inspections necessary to determine that products/articles and related parts conform to the latest design specifications and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) for the Repair Station.  This includes complex purchased fabricated parts or services for conformance to quality requirements stated on drawings or purchase orders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection of the repaired/overhauled of aircraft articles/electronic components for operation and conformance to regulatory requirements (FAA/EASA/CAAC, Etc.) and company standards and specifications.
  • Issue regulatory release certificates (FAA Form 8130-3, CAAC Form AC-038), in accordance with regulatory requirements and perform necessary transactions within ERP and Database systems.
  • Understand the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual and Training Manual.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, electrical, functional and optical inspection per documented inspection instruction.
  • Use basic to complex inspection measurement equipment and perform complex set-ups to inspect repaired parts.
  • Work from Engineering drawings, specifications, quality assurance standards, test procedures and verbal instructions to determine acceptance of product.
  • Proficiently use computer to document quality records, first article reports and job status.
  • Make process improvement recommendations to the Repair Station team in an effort to improve testing/design/manufacturability of product.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and mentor other Inspectors.
  • Responsible for cross training lower-level Inspectors and ensuring area functions are conforming to all regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Assist area Manager in reaching department performance goals as directed through daily activity.
  • Performs special projects/tasks as assigned

Role Requirements:

  • Must participate in Korry’s FAA/DOT Drug & Alcohol testing plan.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience working under FAA Part 145 regulations.

 Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
  • Ability to proficiently set-up and use all inspection measurement equipment, basic to complex.
  • Must have effective communication skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
  • Acceptance of change, flexibility and an absolute teamwork attitude are a must.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer.
  • Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers.
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office.
  • Frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Lift, carry, push and or pull 1-30 lbs as needed
  • Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day
  • Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and appropriate protective equipment as required

Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is $29.01 - $39.25 hourly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
