What You Will Do:

The Director of Sales role is the architect of our commercial strategy, and the engine of our growth. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will design, implement, and optimize every aspect of our sales channel from strategy to execution. Your success will be measured by your ability to drive profitable growth and develop the talent that will carry our company into the future. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the Go-to-Market Strategy: Build and execute the comprehensive go-to-market plan, including the organizational design, channel strategy, and partner ecosystem. Your expertise will define how we enter new markets and expand our footprint with existing customers.
  • Create Pricing Strategy: Develop and steer all commercial strategies related to proposals, pricing, and new business growth. You will instill a data-focused culture, moving from short-term pricing recommendations to a value-based pricing philosophy.
  • Manage, Develop, and Empower the Commercial Team: Build a high-performance culture, focusing on talent development and preparing your successor. A key measure of your success will be identifying and grooming the next generation of leaders.
  • Streamline the Sales System: Take full ownership of the end-to-end sales process. Review, refine, and implement improvements to our sales systems, tools, and processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and predictability in our forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Navigate Complex Deals: Own negotiations for high-stakes, multi-year contracts with our most critical customers. Your ability to build and strengthen relationships at both technical and executive levels will be essential to securing long-term, profitable partnerships.
  • Perform Strategic Assessment: Monitor the market for threats and opportunities. Use these insights to develop and arm your sales team with a comprehensive, data-backed sales playbook.
  • Performs special projects/tasks as assigned

  • Develop talent to promotable status in 12 months
  • Take on an expanded role at Korry within 18 months

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • 8 years’ experience, 3 years of leadership experience.
  • A track record of success in value-based selling and experience with formal sales training.
  • Proven experience in defining and executing a Go-to-Market strategy.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and growing a sales pipeline across different business segments (Aerospace strongly preferred).

Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility with stakeholders from engineers to the C-suite.
  • An innate ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive organizational change.
  • A strong, strategic understanding of pricing, proposal development, and the levers of profitable growth.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, as required, to engage with customers and partners.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers.
  • Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer.
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office
  • Frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range:
Please note the typical hiring range is $205,000 - $258,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
