What You Will Do: 

As a Shipping Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the precise and compliant movement of all outbound products to our global customers. You will be responsible for meticulous system transactions, ensuring complete lot traceability, and coordinating efficient and on-time delivery. Your work directly contributes to customer satisfaction and adherence to complex domestic and international shipping regulations critical in the aerospace and defense industry. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Outbound Shipment Coordination: Efficiently coordinate all domestic and international product deliveries to customers, including precise boxing, packaging, and generation of accurate shipping labels. 
  • ERP System Management: Perform accurate data entry in the ERP system to generate packing slips, invoices, and maintain precise records for all shipments.
  • Customer Portal Compliance: Create Advanced Shipment Notifications (ASNs) and generate barcode labels via various customer portals, ensuring strict adherence to specific customer requirements. 
  • Export Documentation & Compliance: Generate comprehensive export documentation for international shipments, including accurate Automated Export System (AES) filings, in full compliance with trade regulations. 
  • Carrier & Forwarder Interaction: Process shipments using customer-preferred carriers, effectively interact with freight forwarders, and manage logistics to optimize delivery efficiency and cost. 
  • Outbound Order Verification: Verify that all outbound shipments meet customer order requirements and internal quality acceptance criteria prior to dispatch. 
  • Shipping Material Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies, ensuring continuous availability for operations. 
  • Cross-Functional Communication & Resolution: Proactively communicate with Customer Service, Operations, and other internal departments to efficiently resolve shipping issues and ensure on-time delivery commitments are met. 
  • Trade Compliance Adherence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge and ensure strict adherence to all relevant Trade Compliance regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR). 
  • Project Support: Support special projects and tasks as assigned by Supply Chain leadership. 

Preferred Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience in a logistics, business, or supply chain function. 

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment, specifically in shipping, logistics, or materials handling. 
  • Demonstrated experience with domestic and international shipping procedures and documentation. 
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for shipping transactions and inventory management. 

Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Proven ability to maintain high levels of precision in documentation and packaging, critical for aerospace products and compliance. 
  • Strong Organizational & Prioritization Skills: Skilled at effective multitasking, managing competing priorities, and working efficiently in a dynamic environment. 
  • Effective Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve shipping discrepancies or logistical challenges independently and promptly. 
  • Proficiency in Digital Tools: Experience with data entry, 10-key, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), and familiarity with various carrier and customer online portals. 
  • Strong Communication Skills: Able to convey information clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Collaborative Team Mindset: Demonstrates a willingness to work cooperatively with colleagues and contribute positively to team goals. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers. 
  • Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer. 
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office 
  • Frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus. 

 Work Hours

  • Day Shift: 11:00 am - 7:30 pm

Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is $25.00 - $33.00 hourly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
