What You Will Do

The Electronics Technician performs a variety of complex technical tasks to support the Utility Control Systems business unit. These tasks revolve around the repair, overhaul, modification, test, diagnosis and inspection of aerospace electronic and electro-mechanical components and assemblies.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Test, evaluate and troubleshoot aerospace electronic and electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Read Component Maintenance Manual to identify test procedures.
  • Create rework/repair Work Instructions.
  • Keep records of maintenance and test work.
  • Work under limited supervision.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Broad technician skills and abilities of electrical & mechanical assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting and testing.
  • Capability to interface skillfully and technically with Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service Administration and customers.
  • Basic knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials such as Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, engineering drawings, etc.
  • Read and understand schematic and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to proficiently set-up and use all testing and inspection equipment, from basic oscilloscope and digital multimeter to complex and specialized lighting equipment.
  • Highly motivated and possessing effective oral/written communication and interpersonal / team skills.


Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • AA/AS degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school training preferred.
  • Experience with digital and analog electronics and general hands-on mechanical experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in electronics preferred. 


Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is $26.00 - $40.00 hourly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
